Eagle sighted

by Kevin Hughes
(Georgetown, Ontario, Canada)

Twice now I have seen a very large bird of prey hovering and then chasing after prey.

I teach at Stewarttown Public school in Georgetown and, while not an avid bird watcher, I would swear the bird I am seeing is a Golden Eagle.

It is larger than a Turkey Vulture and has yellow plumage on the bottom of its wings and on the back of its head.

Quite a spectacular sight!
