Coyotes in town

We have seen Coyotes in my parents backyard. They live in town (Cobourg) backed onto a small forest.

We have seen them in the middle of the day, @ 10:00am and today one was out around 5:00pm.

Our dog put the run on it, but it came back an hour later.

Should we be concerned with them coming in daylight??

Thanks for your report, I think people should be cautious when there are wild animals around, and keep a close eye on animals and small children.
