Coyotes in Bailieboro - south of Peterborough

by Deb
(Bailieboro, Ontario, Canada )

Coyote(s) came into my yard around 5:15 a.m. on the 26 January 2011 and killed my 4 month old Australian Shepherd pup.

Thank fully they left her after dragging her a few hundred yards away, so that I could at least find her. T

here are way too many in this area and other areas, which makes me concerned for small animals and children.

It seems that we can not leave them unattended while outside anymore.

They have no fear of humans and have over populated, bringing them into communities to hunt for food.

Unfortunately it was my dog and it might be yours next.

I am so sorry to hear about your puppy, that must have been awful - yes, there are places where Coyotes are a problem, and it looks like you live in one of those areas.
