Coyote or Wolf?

My wife and I were running along Taunton Road near Westney Road in Ajax, Ontario, at around 8:30am when I saw something cross the walk path and then cross the street.

On our way back, we saw the same animal cross the walk path again and straight to the field.

I stopped running and showed my wife the animal and it was looking straight back at us.

We didn't know what to do whether to keep on running or stop.

We decided to just ignore it and run casually but made sure it wasn't following us.

Well, it was most likely a Coyote, but who knows, it could have been a Wolf if where you were is close to wilderness
