Bald Eagle sighting on Highway 403 just east of Brantford

Over the Victoria Day long weekend (Saturday May 17th, 2014 - approx. 9:20 am), my family was traveling West bound along Hwy. 403, approx. 10 km East of Brantford, Ontario.

We saw a large bird approaching from the north, being chased by a smaller bird (possibly a grackle).

Expecting it to perhaps be a very large crow or more likely a Turkey Vulture, we were shocked to see it was a Bald Eagle.

As it flew over our car, there was no mistake as the brilliant white head was so visible and distinctive.

This was a single bird and our whole family will treasure this sighting for years to come.
