Bald Eagle over Newboro Lake

by C Beach
(Newboro Lake, Rideau Lakes, Ontario, Canada)

Our family was boating up Newboro Lake around 9 a.m. this morning when an adult Bald Eagle flew above our pontoon boat travelling across from Emerald Island to the mainland.

It appeared that there were 2 of them, but on watching closely, the second one was possibly an Osprey which appeared to follow and dive-bomb the Eagle when it was close to the shoreline.

The Eagle continued on above the mainland.

Very exciting sighting for us - the 1st in our 36 summers here!
