Bald Eagle in Aylmer March 10 2012

by Sarah K.

Visiting the Aylmer Wildlife Centre to see the Tundra Swans during their spring migration.

On a tree just on the other side of the pond was a Bald Eagle. He was perched there for 5 minutes or so before flying to some trees further away.

He continued to fly in the vicinity, being pecked at by three persistent Crows.

He eventually landed on a tree and was visible from the back pond by down Mockingbird Lane.

Eagles and other birds can be seen here almost every day during the spring, summer and fall. On the Mockingbird Trail, you can almost always hear a Catbird answer you if you meow like a cat.
