Unknown Bird of Prey?

(Toronto, Ontario, Canada)

Seen July 6 around Yonge and Bloor in Toronto adjacent to the Rosedale Valley ravine.

It was calling frequently, a high pitched soft sound, not harsh.

I've seen Red-Tailed Hawks in the area, but the markings confused me.

I'm not sure what type of bird this could be, but perhaps one of our readers will be able to identify it, so I will also post this on our facebook page.

It is a distant shot, but, considering the location, chosen perching site, body shape and
plumage colours, especially around the head, I
would think this is a Peregrine Falcon.
