Two New Year Bald Eagle Sightings

by R Clark & Matt
(Lake Scugog & Lake Simcoe, Ontario, Canada)

Two of our readers sent us reports of their New Year sightings of Bald Eagles - January 1 2012

R. Clark tells us - We live on the far northeast shore (Starrs Beach) of Lake Scugog and spotted an immature Bald Eagle as it flew from the lake inland, landing in a tree beside the house. It spent about 10 minutes high in an old beech tree before heading further inland toward farm fields.

And Matt, a reader from Toronto, tells us - Bald Eagle was sighted just north of Keswick, Ontario, on the shore of Lake Simcoe.

Thank you for telling us about your sighting, our readers will enjoy these reports!
