THE ROSE OF SHARON Family Holiday Accommodation in Aylmer, Ontario
The Rose of Sharon Holiday Cottage is set on a quiet, tree-lined, street in the small Southern Ontario town of Aylmer.
This accommodation provides guests with four double bedrooms, with a crib, high-chair and play-pen available if required.
The Rose of Sharon has a large, comfortable living room, dining room, large kitchen and bathroom.
This holiday home is fully equipped with everything a family would need for a comfortable holiday in Southern Ontario.
Located in the quiet town of Aylmer Ontario, just minutes by car from the beaches at Port Bruce and Port Burwell on Lake Erie's north shore.
It is a short walk from the Rose of Sharon to the main street of Aylmer where you will find restaurants, banks, and shopping.
Aylmer, Ontario is a small town with a population of about 5,000 people and is known locally for its Tuesday Farmer's Market where local farmers bring their produce.
Aylmer is also the home of the Ontario Police College and the Rose of Sharon is convenient for those who wish to stay close by for a few days.
All Bed linens and towels are included and are changed weekly.
You can relax in the peace and tranquility of our large, restful garden, where you will find mature trees, flower beds and a water garden.
This area of Southern Ontario enjoys beautiful, sunny summer weather so you may decide to eat breakfast or barbecue dinner on the patio.
The Rose of Sharon has two bedrooms with double beds and one bedroom with two single beds on the upper level of the house and one bedroom with Queen size bed on the main floor of the home.
We try to keep our bird feeders fully stocked for the many native North American birds that come to our feeders all year long.
Some of our more common visitors include, Chickadees, Cardinals, Blue Jays and Nuthatches - even Hummingbirds visit out garden in the summer.

January, February, March, April, May $650 weekly June, July & August $800 weekly September, October, November, December $$650 weekly
Weeks run from Saturday at 3pm, until the following Saturday at 11am, however during the off season shorter stays and alternate check-in days can be arranged.

Aylmer Ontario
, is 2 hours by car from Toronto International Airport, 2 hours from world famous Niagara Falls and just 25 minutes from London, Ontario, where visitors can enjoy great shopping, Museums and Art Galleries and also the annual Hot Air Balloon Fest held in the summer.
There are many kilometers of Hiking trails, some of which are accessible by wheel-chair and there you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of some of the last remaining Carolinian Forest in Southwestern Ontario.
You may even catch a glimpse of several of our rare native birds such as the Pileated Woodpecker.
During the month of March the Aylmer Ontario area is visited by tens of thousands of Tundra swans, as they migrate from their summer feeding grounds on Chesapeake bay and fly north to the Arctic to breed.
On their journey they stop at Long Point and at the Wildlife Management Area in Aylmer to rest and feed before continuing their annual migration.
In late summer, the north shore of Lake Erie sees a unique migration of Monarch Butterflies. These beautiful butterflies spend the summer in this area and then spend the winter in Central America.
They gather in this area in the Fall as they prepare for their epic journey south, to winter in Mexico.
Thousands of Birds of Prey, who also fly south for the winter, pass through this area on their winter migration.

Hawk Cliff
and watch for our native Raptors.
Some birds such as the Turkey Vulture, Red Tailed Hawk, Red-shouldered Hawk and Golden Eagle are summer residents in this area and during the fall migration thousands of these raptors are sighted daily.
Hawks Cliff is located just south of the lake road between Port Stanley and Port Bruce - watch for the signs at the end of Fairview Rd south of St Thomas.
