Hawks Flocking

October 2nd 2011 - In Markham, Ontario, we saw what must have been 30 to 40 Hawks flying overhead and just gliding about.

We live across from a big field and thought they might have been looking for food such as field mice.

It was amazing - never before have we seen so many at one time together. I thought they were loners most of the time.

We wondered what was up.

We're glad for this comment venue, Thanks!

Thank you for your report of the flock of Hawks. At this time of year, when you see so many Hawks flying in one flock together, I would bet dollars to donuts, that they are migrating south for the winter.

You are most welcome - I love hearing from our readers about the interesting wildlife they see in Southern Ontario!
