Coyotes seen almost everyday ln Georgina

by Bruce Mcconnell
(Georgina, Ontario, Canada)

I have seen Coyotes, walking, prancing and running across fields near where I live.

I have also seen them digging in the snow for mice.

I have called and whistled to them and that does not bother them at all.

This year we have seen virtually no White Tailed Deer fawns on our field cameras, and we believe this could be related to the high number of Coyotes in the area.

They can be heard howling every night in this area around Georgina, Ontario!

Has anybody (Ministry of Natural Resources) done any research on the number of Coyotes in this area?

Animal fight

Last night I heard something growling deeply at a squealing raccoon in Sutton, sounded like they were fighting. I expected to see a lot of blood and fur in the morning but no sign of it. Would a coyote attack a raccoon?

I do believe that a coyote would attack and eat, a raccoon.

Jacksons Point

Seen a Coyote standing on my neighbour's driveway late one night. We also back on to York Region forest in Jackson's Point. Don't really seem to bother us much, I just keep a keen eye on my dogs.

This morning I was walking my husky & a full size Coyote came running out of the bush & crossed Kennedy Road. He/she was about 3 feet from us and was very beautiful & healthy looking. Was very nice to see.

Coyote Metro Road & Salvation Army Camp

Sunday August 12, 2012, a large full grown Coyote crossed the road in front of me at 7.15 in the morning, heading into the bush south of the road. It had large ears, grey in colour, looked to be 70-80 lbs, in full coat, very healthy looking.

Udora Coyotes
by: Anonymous

We have heard at least 2 packs of coyotes howling at night in Udora. We have also seen them passing through our backyard in the middle of the day. They appear to be larger than an average Coyote, possible that they are actually more of a Coy-Wolf.
