Brown bird with rust coloured wing and white breast

First time I've seen one of these. I'm by Brantford, Ontario, and just saw him/her in the backyard.

The rust colour caught my eye and I thought it was a Robin until I got a better look.

It's somewhere around the size of a Cardinal or Robin.

Very rich brown colour.

Didn't look to have a large breast like a Robin would, and the breast was white.

Perhaps one of our readers might know what this bird could be, and if you do, please let us know.

Wood thrush

I think it may be a Wood Thrush? They are rust colored with a white breast and brown spots on breast, slightly larger than Robins.

Possibly a Brown Thrasher
by: Charlene

Would be a beautiful brown shade with a light reddish tint, mimics the calls of all the other birds, similar to a mockingbird. Bill is long and slightly downward curved.
