Possum in Belleville

width="485"

We have a feeding area set up on our back deck to feed the strays and the occasional raccoon and skunk!

Last year this strange little thing showed up and yes, it was a possum.

In the winter his coat is whiteish but in the summer is dark brown.

He eats like a little pig, but is as cute as all getout.

We are in Belleville, Ontario.

Thanks for telling us about your little visitor!

I will also post this on our facebook page.

Prince Edward County Possum
by: Bill Blakely

Several months ago (probably February, 2018) I saw a dead possum on Hwy. 62 about 2 Km south of Belleville. Being surprised to see a possum in Canada I actually stopped and took a picture with my cell phone and posted it on Facebook to see if anybody else had ever seen one in Canada. Several other people I've talked with have mentioned sighting possums in Prince Edward County.

Cuter than a Skunk
by: Frank

"Cute," in its own way. Still better to have around than Skunk.
