Bald Eagle Sighting in St. Marys

by A Visitor
(Ontario)

On March 31, 2013, just before we reached the water tower as we drove into town from the east, a Bald Eagle glided low across Queen Street, from north to south, a few feet ahead of our car.

He was so close, you could see his eye and individual feathers.

What an awe-inspiring sight!

Though I was born and raised in St. Marys, this was a first for me. It's good to know these marvelous birds are coming back.

Thanks for letting us know about your sighting - I'm heading to St Marys this afternoon, so I'll keep my eyes open for any Bald Eagles!
